Nice work if you can get it.

There are ~5 catchers you can count on to be consistently league average hitters or better while also being decent behind the plate so that sounds about right. Just seems like a lot more is tied up in intangibles with that position (which is why baseball people love talking about it).

i thought i would miss the pitcher batting but much prefer them not batting now that we are 40ish games in.

I miss the rhythm of the game with pitchers batting. Now it's just a stream of hitters without punctuation.

I like pitchers batting too. It takes the strategy of pulling pitchers totally different and we don’t have pinch hitters coming in.

I guess it’s more fun to watch when you have competent batters coming to the plate every time though.

More runs, less pitching changes, DH has been great.

Agreed. Also, I like that we can keep Cutch and JT fresher but still have their bat in the lineup.

There was period where I was watching as many games with as games without, and it never seemed to effect my enjoyment, so my attitude was always why the hell did they add it when it didn't improve the game. Still feel that way but the world is going to hell in a handbasket so why not have baseball go along with it.

do miss the strategy, but also like getting a chance to see more players, as long as they aren't "DH types" , so it basically evens out for me.

I know this is not an original thought, but if we had even a half decent bullpen we’d be cruising in the NL East with a real shot at winning it all.

At this point I think our only realistic shot is to sacrifice a virgin to the gods and pray for the best. Wheels Tupay, it was nice knowing you.

Gotta admit I am in agreement and I really didn't want the change.

Wheeler won't start on Saturday because he ripped a fingernail putting on his pants.
