There's no doubt one of these guys comes back to bite us in the arse.

They’d probably get suspended for that anyway.

So at what point does Romero start getting more important innings. He's the only one in the pen who looks dominant.

I’m guessing he’s a candidate to be sent down to make room for Phelps, probably why they used him in back to back spots after using him only once before

The cryptography does not yet exist to make that a reality.

I also heard he thought he was a loner who left his home in Tucson, Arizona for some California grass.

I just don't understand why all the terrible pitchers got multiple times to screw up and this guy gets sent down. How many games did Rosso help lose? A million? It felt like a million.

Issue is moot now, but didn't the Athletics run that con with Rickey Henderson for like four years in a row or something? Sign him, trade him before the deadline, re-sign him, rinse, wash, repeat.

Hale trade seems like a panic move that they probably don’t make if they knew the Red Sox trade was coming hours later.

this used to not happen for the longest time both with prospects and with veterans for a bunch of the philly sports teams. more recently a few of our phils prospects have turned into legit players but almost none to the amount of hype we all had for them.

looks like everyone is ready to declare Sixto the next great thing after a dominant start.
Not everything I think is something I should say.

Highly doubtful. That has not happened once in the 28 years I have followed the Phils. Old-timers still have PTSD from the Sandberg and Jenkins deals.

Any PTSD comes from hindsight. We (or at least I) didn't view prospects the same back then.

In the end it's a numbers game since it's so difficult develop contributors yet alone stars.

Seidman speculated they might DFA Walker, who I am not sure really has much of a role anymore with Bohm up and everyone healthy (you still have Kingery and Gosselin to play IF).

Though if he gets claimed/refuses assignment and there's an injury not sure who the alternative is.

they did walker a solid and got him his pension. there's another veteran utility guy kicking around in lehigh too, though they'd have to find a 40-man spot.

Hopefully they dont come in bunches. Sixto looks legit. JCP currently outproducing Lindor, Correa, Bregmen, Segura...

Segura's OPS is 65 points higher than Crawford right now. In fact none of those guys are being outproduced by Crawford. What am I missing?

That's JPC. Whiteyfan is referring to JCP.

Who is in charge of the Phillies' baserunning these days? Obviously not running a ton, but back to the good ol' Davey Lopes days of leading the league in percentage. Anecdotally , it seems like someone is doing a great job of identifying tells by pitchers and they've had a lot of uncontested steals.
