Don’t know where they are gonna go with this, but the reports are that Brand is well respected, so if you kick him upstairs to a president position and then hire a GM that makes the actual basketball decisions

Right but he would still make the GM call and then probably have final say on a lot of things, right?

Joerger is the only candidate more appealing than Wright so far, just IMO.

He is one of the best out there and control freaks tend to succeed.

Juwan Howard though, people were thinking that was possible? Whoa

Joerger seems to rub people the wrong way, but is a good coach.

Lue is a big question mark, but he's well liked among players and has actually won a championship as a HC (and player).

Wright is a huge question mark as are all coaches making the jump from college.

Udoka has been a hot name for a HC job. I know teams often perform much differently when the HC is replaced by an assistant, but this season was such a bucket of turds that I can't see myself being thrilled about our new HC coming from this year's staff.

I'll probably be cautiously optimistic regardless of the hire, but I guess Udoka is at the bottom of my list out of the four names floated out there.

That getting leaked seemed like an agent favor.

So it appears the general vibe from those in the know is that Scott O'Neil is the real problem in the organization.

we should have been the team that traded with the Hawks for Doncic. Hinkie would have known.

“I will say this, if in fact they do play together, which is what we anticipate, we’re going to be a menace at the rim, an absolute menace,” Hinkie said. “If you’re going to bring violence to the other team, that’s the place to do it.”

He’s not on the basketball side of operations though, right?

Well there was a lot of smoke about him meddling with Hinkie in particular. I personally would sooner the marketing guys not have a direct line there.

He wants to be, that's the problem. Spike said it on Twitter and the WIP guys were alluding to it on the air yesterday.

Yeah hard to believe that is the problem, and I don't think Spike is that connected to have insider information.

He is as or more connected as anyone I'm aware of. Much of Yaron Weitzman's reporting for that book confirms and adds context too.

Beyond that ... is it really that hard to believe the CEO of this disparate, dogshit organization meddled?
