Hopefully no Phillies got it.

Running this bullpen out there is inexcusable.

Doubt it. For better or worse, nobody is really going to take anything that happens this season seriously. If they even finish the season at all.

I'd be shocked. The Marlins had tons of interactions with Phillies employees, saying nothing about the players themselves.
These guys need a little bit more lead in their diet.

And Seranthony Dominguez still would not have gotten Tommy John yet.

And yet part of doing it was to please his bosses by staying under the luxury tax, right? If that’s a directive from on high, hard to think they’d punish him for it.

Almost every other good team can be competitive without going over the tax. Hard for Klentak to cry poor when the Braves kick his ass every year with much fewer resources in a worse market. If he had good relievers ready to go from his drafts they’d cost the same as the slop he’s throwing out there.

Losing the series stunk but I thoroughly and frankly emotionally enjoyed baseball being back. My family dressed up in our gear all day Friday. My 4yo was really into it all, too.

Felt normal...too normal Friday with them losing to the marlins. Then it was fun last night. Then reality today.

Wouldn’t trade any of it results aside.
On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?

Hope you are right!

But the fact is he’s had 4+ years to have guys ready for this year.

Loved that the three relievers that were supposed to be the solid returnees from last year were Neris, Morgan, and Alvarez... Morgan and Alvarez didn't pitch at all this weekend and Neris pitched mop up duty today... we saw lots of Cole Irvin and Nick Pivetta and Reggie McClain though.. got some Trevor Kelley, Austin Davis, Deolis Guerra... even Terry Adams in a Tommy Hunter jersey... I kinda miss that Hammer dude...

At least if the season is cancelled these terrible games won't count! They won't, right?

Right up against the luxury tax, and can't even break .500???
(Brandy) only hinted at Halladay's personal issues during her Hall of Fame speech last July, when she said, "Roy would want everyone to know that people are not perfect. We're all imperfect and flawed in one way or another. We all struggle."
