Has anyone heard any updates on McCutchen? From my original impression, I fell the would be doing baseball activities around the start of the regular season but not yet ready to go, but lord knows where I got that from.

I had heard, back a ways, that it might delay his start of CAMP, but he'd be ready physically for the start of the season. But that was a long time ago.

this goes back to what was a phillies broadcast back at the end of the year, saying he was clearly ahead of schedule. but he's a vet and coming off of an injury so i wouldn't expect to see much of him in ST, but fully expect him in the starting lineup opening day.

probably. signing 1 guy who could pitch the 8th would have been nice but they already got burned doing that with Robertson would have to go into the tax to do it.

they have like a dozen guys who can't hack it as starters, so maybe 1 or 2 will work out.

They're hoping Seranthony will be the 8th inning guy. Also 8 of our 9 free agent relievers are still unsigned, so one of those guys could come back on a minor league deal to provide bullpen depth

Edubray Ramos is outta here. He signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers

they are screwed in the bullpen this year unless they get lucky which is always a possibility with bullpens

They’re signing fringe players as well

Many of these guys will be at LV. Like 3/4 of the Pigs roster is gone and they can't all be replaced by Reading promotions

That's probably what I actually heard too, and just decided to take it more negatively.

seems like getting oscar colas would be a nice use for a big chunk of that unpenalized spending power the phils are so fiercely protecting. as a 20 tear old, 8th beat ops in japan. could be a better long-term outfield solution than any non-bryce in the phils system. and a better fb than most of our pitchers.

Morosi reported the Phils are looking for a righty-hitting complement to Haseley for CF. Others have mentioned Kevin Pillar as a possibility

If he plays well Haseley will get enough compliments.
