Ooops, BigEd, I should have waited to have all your change info in the first post. If you want to create a new thread I'll be happy to delete this one.

Aside from JT and Bryce, there isn’t a position left on the field that is secure. Kingery will play somewhere but LF is open until Cutch shows that he’s healthy enough to play; CF is either Kingery’s or Hasely’s. Who knows where Segura plays if he is even here. Hoskins probably has 1B unless he gets moved in a deal for a SP and he gets his hitting stroke back. It’s been a while since the Phillies have had this many question marks.

Disagree about LF. They still have Bruce. If Cutch isn't ready opening day, then Bruce will be out there until he is

Stock is a good dumpster dive. Former 2d rounder who throws hard and got a decent GB rate. Has 2 options

Looks like he's yawning
(Brandy) only hinted at Halladay's personal issues during her Hall of Fame speech last July, when she said, "Roy would want everyone to know that people are not perfect. We're all imperfect and flawed in one way or another. We all struggle."

So, a couple questions.

What's the most reliable source for what our 6 arb guys are gonna get?

Assuming we resign JT, what's the likely estimate on his AAV?

And Segura isn't worth nearly $15M, is he?
"I would have liked to have had that chance. Just once. To stare down a big league pitcher. To stare him down, and just as he goes into his windup, wink."

MattS projections:

JT = $10.3M
Neris = $4.7M
Vince = $3.9M
Eflin = $3M
Alvarez = $3M
Morgan = $1.6M

(He projected $800K for Knapp)

Segura 2019 it's iffy, probably yes, but Segura 2016-2019 overall is definitely worth $15M per.

Need him to bounce back a little, then decline slowly, and he'll be worth his deal.

100% agree. remember what we thought about santana's value relative to his salary after his bad year with the phils in 2018? for those watching the games: did anything about segura change from 2018 to 2019 that would be a particular reason to believe the drop in production isn't mostly randomness? weight gain? loss of foot speed? loss of strength (throwing/batting)? loss of bat speed? loss of strike zone judgement? (vision problems?)

JT is in his final arb year right? Why is he projected for less than Cesar was?
Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

Looked heavy/thick to me, for a ss. Admittedly, I didn't see much of him before coming to Philly.

Because Cesar made $5.1M and $7.75M the past two seasons while JT made only $2.9M and $5.9M
