Striking to me how much the Franzke call on the J-Roll walk off in the 2009 NLDS lands for me as the best of the group. I remember someone complaining about it at the time, and my response then rings perhaps even truer to me today: it starts off relatively-low key, because I am not sure how immediately clear the implications of the hit were to Franzke, but his excitement builds throughout the call, reaching a real crescendo that lasts and lasts at the end. Because of this, it still feels as exciting now as it did then. I was fist pumping listening, cheering J-Roll around those bases, gleefully waiting for the throw home that never came. Awesome.

Missing from that group IMHO:

- Scott Graham on the David Bell HR in Cincinnati in 2005. It turned out not to matter so much as the Phillies missed the postseason, but in the moment that game was critical and that call was absolutely electric. They had been up, I think 6-1, their 2005 pitching coughed that up so they were down 10-6 in the 9th, Utley hit a 3 run bomb to make the comeback possible, and with two outs, "David Bell did it!" Amazing. I have posted that call here on occasion.

- In the 1986-produced "Phillies Centennial" tape, there is footage of Bo Diaz's ultimate slam from 83 - bases loaded, down three, two outs. Kalas goes absolutely ballistic. Here it is:

Slide to 1:25.
"I'm in a bar with the games sound turned off and that Cespedes home run still sounded like inevitability."

I can think of a couple that should be in that collection:
- Schmidt's homer against the Expos in 1980 to win the NL East (Andy Musser yelling 'he buried it'
- Bob Dernier's walk-off inside the park HR in 1983 (I think)
- Halladay's perfecto and no-hitter.

But otherwise, great, great stuff.
This is a simple game. You throw the ball, you hit the ball, you catch the ball.

Very excited for Maddon to lead our Phillies.

He really wasn't if you read the details of what happened versus what he said was happening.

If you make enough vague predictions eventually you will get one right.

don't really understand the hate. i could possibly see it if he was trying to invite himself to an after hours party after a show at the troc or trying to bang your gf after a show at the mann. even then a bigger man lets those incidents slide and welcomes him into the bsg community.

also, he would be a welcome addition to the sixers thread.

Is that why you hate certain people on here?

I just thinks it's dumb to do like incarcerated Bob and have fake sources and act like you know things when we've actually had people with real sources.

If your DeLorean is fixed we could get to the bottom of all of this though.

Who Shadow? No clue. I know who you hate.

Judging from his posts maybe Klentaks 5th cousin.

Although maybe he's part of Phillies analytics since he thinks Bellinger and Yellich are products of juiced balls.
