Not here. Maybe with a change of scenery.
(Brandy) only hinted at Halladay's personal issues during her Hall of Fame speech last July, when she said, "Roy would want everyone to know that people are not perfect. We're all imperfect and flawed in one way or another. We all struggle."

i doubt it, but i don't think it should be ruled out completely because it remains unclear to me which of our pitchers suffered the most from the combination of mlb messing around with the nature of the baseballs and the chris young fiasco. even if we knew which were hurt the most, and even if we knew who will be the new pitching coach and what kind of baseballs will be used in 2021, we wouldn't know which members of the staff are most able to get back on track quickly under a return to 2018 conditions. pivetta has had the least success in the big leagues, so that automatically makes him less likely to be sorted out, no matter how favorable conditions are in 2020... but the potential he showed in 2020 remains tantalizing.

that year he was in the top 25%(of 56 qualified starters) in k-rate, k-bb rate, siera, xfip, xfip-, and 17th in swinging strike rate, so he was good at missing bats and kept walks under control. despite the high hr/fb rate, he also managed to post the 19th lowest rate of hard-hits allowed and was in the top half for the rate of soft-hits allowed and for fip and fip- (which penalize high hr rates), implying that he also controlled contact pretty well. we just don't know whether or not he is capable of pitching well with baseballs other than the 2018 version, or has the mental strength to come back from the disaster of his 2019 season.

i would recommend not selling low just yet, and keeping him around at least until we find out what baseballs will be used. if it will be a return to 2018, as suggested by the balls used in the playoffs, then let him pitch enough to give him a chance to recover some value in low-leverage bullpen situations.

another in the long list of reasons i really, really hope the phils sign gerrit cole: both of his age 27 and age 28 seasons beat out those of both halladay and schilling , the last two phillies rh power-pitching aces, each of whom had relatively late breakouts. what those two averaged over their age 29-26 seasons is pretty mind-boggling. my other favorite name in his similarity score lists is mussina. (can't wait for the b-r similarity score list to be updated to include cole's 2019. i expect mussina and halladay and schilling to jump up the list)

Something to keep an eye on for the Phillies pitching coach.

@Buster_ESPN
Sources: Yankees have discussed making a change at pitching coach and moving on from Larry Rothschild.

Any guesses on Cole's next contract? 7 years seems to be the norm. Grienke currently the highest annual at $34.4m.

Somewhere around 7 year / $266m sound about right?
I hate signatures, but I love irony.

Bleacher Report end of Sept said 7/225 to Angels.
They also had Rendon 8 for 265 back to Nationals.

Official--if we respect the Yankees organization, this should give us pause regarding hiring him.

I'd top that 8/$265M if I'm the Phillies.
