I dont agree with this part. Yankees could very well be the highest bidder. They need pitching as bad as we do. The only thing I know for sure is Cole wont take less money to go anywhere for any reason.

I don't see how you can be confident of this, if a West Coast team gets close to an offer from say the Yankees he absolutely could take that. I am not saying he is going to turn down a top offer if there is a huge gap but if it is a few million sure.

There wont be that many teams that are seriously in on him. The ones that are, will know what it will takes. He'll sign the highest offer like every other top FA before him. It's not even a greed thing. The players union (and the players themselves) want the best deal possible to help future FA's.
