Hamels is still better than a #5.

Agreed.

If their rotation by June is something like Nola/Wheeler/Arrieta/Hamels/Howard, that's a significant upgrade over the slop they trotted out this season IMO.

When healthy the first half of the season, he was the Cubs best SP, IMO. Second half, though, he didn't look good at all. Witness his start here.

And we're not getting G Cole, people. He'll either be in NY or LA. Get over it already.

Do we really expect Arrieta to contribute next year?
Fine. You wanna act like you're two? I'll act like I'm one.

Nah but he’s getting a spot in the rotation until gets hurt again. Hopefully that times well with Howard being ready/Eflin not having his annual month where he forgets how to pitch.

I don't see us going after anything more than depth/platoon bat.

Bruce is under contract and Miller is still cheap. Would love to not have to count on Haseley making a leap but with all the pitching that is needed there's only so much money to spend.

Steaks seemed to think Dickerson coming back was a possibility.

Dickerson is one of the better hitters in the league. I’d love to have him back.

really there's not interest with harper Kingery Hoskins and Realmuto? i still love watching them all bat and hope rhys can turn it around, and isn't jt arguably the best all around catcher in baseball?
