Does the 3 batter minimum carry over innings? For instance if you take the starter out with 2 outs in the 6th and the reliefer that comes in gets 1 out to complete the inning, does he have to then pitch to 2 batters in the 7th?

I'm not a big fan of the rule, but I won't miss the change pitchers/walk the batter/change pitchers sequence at all.

yeah they're trying to eliminate the "4 pitchers in one inning" bullshit, but as long as the pitcher comes in and ends the inning, that's fine

Also notice the rule change where you have to wait until extra innings to use a position player to pitch UNLESS your team is up/down by 7+
