Utley should have broken both legs so we didn't have to hear from that whiner ever again.

What'd he say?

That tweet sounds a lot more dramatic until you consider they probably never spoke before that either

Pretty sure Chase said he tried to reach out to him via David Wright.

Eickhoff moved to the 60 day to open up the 40 man spot.

Latest B/R clickbait article has us signing Anthony Rendon this off-season. I assume that would mean we'd trade Bohm for a SP. In theory, I like this idea better than signing a FA SP and starting Bohm at 3B.
I hate signatures, but I love irony.

I'm excited about Bohm's potential, and we can't give everyone $10M+/yr. Still need to pay JT and likely Rhys

We're either going to have to trade for or sign 2-3 starting pitchers this offseason. Given the FA's likely available, Id rather trade. I dont see any urgency to extend either of those guys. Their value wont likely go much higher than it is now. 1B are a dime a dozen and maybe one of our young C develops?

Shrewd move by the #Phillies claiming veteran reliever Jared Hughes, one of the nicest guys in all of sports, off waivers from the #Reds. He’ll be tremendously missed in Cincinnati.

Assuming he makes an appearance for the main club, the Phils will be two away from setting a new franchise record for players used in a season

Ramos to the 60-day IL to make room. The Phils now have 49 players on the 40-man roster :-D

4.10 ERA isn't too bad, and he's been pretty good throughout most of his career. Don't know about the nice guy stuff, but sure does look kinda crazy:

I'm not digging in against that guy.

Reminds me of the year I got talked into making faces in my school pictures (didn't work out too well for me).

I’ll be happy with signing an ace SP this offseason, promoting Bohm, moving Jetpax to 2B and getting Cutch back.

If Klentak wants to add another overpriced veteran reliever too than god bless him

He has an interesting stat profile over his career. Good ERAs, mediocre FIPs, mediocre BB and K per 9 and one great year in 2018

On a side note I didn’t realize Jared and Phil Hughes were different pitchers

as noted elsewhere, harper's extreme 2019 runners-on / bases-empty splits and feats like last night's walk-off slam have him at 3rd in the league in WPA (win probability added) behind only yelich and trout. only howard, abreu, and schmidt have ever wpa totals for the phils (in the years covered by the fangraphs version of the stat, which seems to be late-60s onward). howard (only 70th out of 1869 in the career rankings for wpa due to his post-2011 disintegration), as we know, may have been one of the best ever at taking advantage of risp situations removing the shift; schmidt (14th all-time) is an inner circle hofer; and this is yet another example of how underrated abreu (20th all-time) was and remains.

[if you, like me, are surprised that jimmy didn't show up higher in these lists, here's something for you... there was another version of the stat back in the early 2000s, before wpa itself was created, i actually liked that one better because it included stolen base stats (and maybe defence?), which the current wpa does not, for some reason (probably not sure how to divide credit/blame among baserunner-pitcher-catcher). that version showed jimmy at or near the top of the league a few times even before his mvp season. he may have been one of the greatest "clutch" baserunners the game has ever seen. judging by sb*sb/cs numbers (a decent proxy for smart baserunning) for the top wpa guys this season, bryce would be about 4th in that alternative version of the wpa stat this season, behind yelich, trout, and acuna.]
