Pacino,
Did I see correctly? Currently second in all events in the Reading Open?

It’s a pretty good number though. Good bowling.

Would be nice if my team got some motivation and would have signed up for that. As I am usually saying these days, maybe next year.

Wow! That's just crazy!
(Brandy) only hinted at Halladay's personal issues during her Hall of Fame speech last July, when she said, "Roy would want everyone to know that people are not perfect. We're all imperfect and flawed in one way or another. We all struggle."

Was that the Better and Best tournament? I was half thinking of going to that one. I only didn't because I'm still trying to shake off a cold.

On a separate note, my son has finally been able to start Saturday morning league now that marching band is over. Week 2 this past weekend he drops a 712. Yesterday at PJBT he went front 9 for the first time and left a light 7 on first shot in 10th. First High School matches start this week. He appears to be in good form. Right now he's either #1 or #2 on the team (my assumption is that the #1 spot will be deferred to the Senior; my son's a sophomore).

Hahaha....I knew it was something like that. Clearly my interest was muted by illness enough to not remember the exact name.

Kind of wishing I posted this last week, but my son just missed getting his first 300 on Thursday in a match against Neshaminy. 299 (left a 10 pin on last shot).

Seems a bit mundane after the events of yesterday. My apologies for the brief diversion.

He's not the most emotive kid; very even keel. I'm sure he was disappointed, but he doesn't let it show much. Plus he knows he'll get another chance. Attached (I hope) is the link to the video I posted of the 10th frame. To see him clap his hands after the last shot is a virtual explosion of emotional display from him. That's as expressive as he gets.

Fun weekend at the PA High School Eastern Regionals. The Boy had a solid day in the individual tournament finishing 40th out of 191 (avg 209.8). A few self inflicted wounds cost him a top 20. Still has two more years though and he improved by 140 pins over last year.

The North Penn team dug themselves a decent sized hole in regular game qualifying on Saturday, sitting 20th. They made a nice run during the 6 Baker style games and finished 11th. Only losing one senior and there is a terrific freshman coming in next year. States or bust next season.

Nice

Wilson girls did not qualify to go further, but the Wilson boys did. Thus ends my stepdaughter's high school bowling career.
