Flyers state media after the game was at peak form. Blamed the mental fatigue of knowing you need to win each night to have a chance as if they didn’t put themselves in this hole.
Flyers score, waived off for goalie interference, flyers win challenge, goal is good, pens challenge the play is offsides and will win and there’s no good goal
Both teams win a challenge on the same play

Hart looks excellent tonight. It really helps the goalie when the defensemen stand up the opposition at the blue line instead of backing down on him all of the time.
Still a steep playoff hill to climb but there are a lot of positives to take from the post-Hakstol/Hextall portion of the season. At this point, I think you'd have to imagine that Scott Gordon has probably earned the job "full-time". He did have the benefit of Carter Hart (which Hakstol did not) but it is clear the team has played much better hockey since the coaching change and at least some of that has to do with personnel decisions. The last 10 games will be interesting though. Flyers have Carolina twice and Carolina has a VERY difficult schedule over their last 11 games:
Gordon stinks. Hope management doesn’t fall for it. Team has the same underlying stats, the goalies have just played a lot better during the hot streak.
