TB had 64 points as of January 1st, Flyers had 35

It's easy to say that the goalie sucks or that the defensemen do but the truth of the matter is that there isn't a defensive scheme out there on the ice that is successful. The forwards are just as much to blame as anyone else. It takes the entire team to play defense and this club doesn't do that well and hasn't for years. It's why the Flyers need a competent HC who can plan things out over the summer with his assistant coaches and then start to implement it in camp. Then hopefully things will get better as the year goes on.
