You raise a good possibility, but it appears The Babe never gave up more than one HR in a game. Of course, the ball wasn't exactly flying out of the park during the height of his pitching career.

According to B-R, he only gave up 10 homers in his career.
Yes son. I'm the best mono-thingy guy there ever was.

Can anybody name them? Did he ever give up a HR to the same guy twice? That era fascinates me

Tillie Walker hit one off him as a St Louis Brown in 1915, then again as an A in 1919
looks like George Burns hit one off him as a Tiger in 1917, then again as an A in 1918 (baseball-reference has all the old boxscores)

José Reyes is the first player in MLB history to allow multiple HR as a pitcher, then hit multiple HR in the team's next game

all for naught, as i saw on the ticker that actually, someone did it in 1884.

The only other player in major league history to allow multiple home runs as a pitcher and then hit multiple homers was Hall of Famer Cap Anson. He allowed two homers for the Chicago White Stockings on Aug. 5, 1884, and then hit three home runs on Aug. 6 of that season.

Flipped on mlbn and the Mets highlights were on. Acuna led off the game with a triple and albies singled past a drawn in infield to make it 1-0. Not sure I’ve ever seen the infield in for the second batter of the game.

Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can
