They might be able to incriminate her by uncovering the origins of the ringleader of a Marco Belinelli fandom wiki. This is our Da Vinci code

I must have missed those statements. What I’ve seen is a report that he’s discussing with the team the possibility it was his wife. The reports I’ve seen say nothing about when he realized it might be his wife nor when his discussions with the team on the subject began.

He told NBC News Philly last night he had zero idea who it was. Which he texted to national writer Jordan Schultz Wednesday night.

So if it WAS his wife, not a scammer, and he didn't find out until late last night .... how did all the accounts go dark on 5/22

His defense is at this point that he is the most oblivious person in the world of sports.

After he gets the call about the accounts he calls his wife, not suspecting it was her. She doesn’t cop to it, but realizes the problem and takes the accounts private as soon as she hangs up. Only sometime last night does she admit it was her. He calls his superiors to discuss it.

Yup the John Clark interview yesterday said no idea who it could be and sick to his stomach.

Bc failed sexually due to work stress, babs asked him what's wrong, mentioned twinker inquiries from press, case closed

Srsly though there will be some derivation of this spin (wife caught on about it through informal convo, when colangelos goes dark she does too w her accounts but she only fessed up about the whole thing later)

Is it dumb? Yes. Believable. Not really. Will it work, maybe if they play it right

How dumb would he have to be to not put that together right away.

It’s plausible I guess but why call her within 15 minutes? In a world where he’s innocent there are much better uses of that time

If you're in BC's collar in what order do you call people? If I was drowning in that totally normal sized (very fashionable in Italy) collar calling my wife would be at the very bottom of my list.

1) Bosses
2) My players referenced in the tweets
3) Anyone in the org that reports directly to me
4) Contacts in the media

then *maybe* I contact my wife. The speed at which the accounts went down is almost clear evidence for me that he was aware of her involvement.

Also the wife theory arose a day or two before his comments to NBC Philly, right? He didn’t hear about and press her on that?

And he already had a reputation for being hypersensitive to bad press and probably using RealGM burners.

I’m not saying it happened that way or even that it’s likely. All I’m saying is it’s wrong to state things as facts when we don’t know for sure.

As for him not figuring out immediately it was his wife, if I were in that situation I doubt I would immediately jump to the conclusion it was my wife who had done something so stupid. And, even once I did figure it out I wouldn’t want to go public immediately and blame my wife. In addition to further damaging the marriage it would look awfully unseemly to blame my wife.

If BC were really noble he’d have just said it was him from the beginning, resigned and protected his wife from the embarrassment. That’s a lot to expect from someone, though, when it likely means public humiliation and the end of your career.

I'd guess in the moment that he was dumb/arrogant/panicked or whatever enough that he thought if he acted quickly he might get away with it. The story is just way too weird and soup opera to go away though, people were always going to keep digging.

Plus he's a fucking twat that got forced on us by a combo of the league meddling and nepotism. He wasn't really in a spot where he could get the benefit of the doubt.

The screen shot of the accounts phone number ending in 91 (apparently his wife's number) circulated on Tuesday night.
Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

Immediately? We’ve all been taking about her for two days and he lied (assuming she’s the guilty party) on camera at 6pm last night. “Zero idea.”

Not presenting facts I know but my bet is he knew all along and thought it being her gave him plausible deniability and that no one would prove it was her. Whoops.

The most likely scenario right now is they’re negotiating his departure and figuring out how to handle things from a PR standpoint. They may even already be reaching out to possible successors. If you want him gone, just be patient a bit longer.

We know all this, we've been speculating how it goes down because thats all there is to talk about.

Saying we cant post our thoughts here because we dont have all the facts, no shit we're boarders not media members.

Like, I'm not 100% sure he's 100% guilty but the idea that he survives this and everything goes back to functional and normal is the craziest take of all.
