are there Rooney Rule type regulations or any other brakes on the GM hiring process or can they offer, say, Mike Zarren the job on Tuesday?

In retrospect he shouldn’t have done it but I don’t know anyone who hasn’t occasionally shared confidential information with a spouse.

I know there are those who are absolutely, unequivocally convinced BC knew about it all the time and has been lying, but no one here can be that sure. No matter how certain we are that we know the facts, we’re still guessing.

The investigation should proceed and a decision made once the facts are ascertained. And if we’re worried about the effect of this episode on our offseason which is coming so quickly, that’s exactly why no one should be particularly happy this is happening at all at this particular moment.

People dislike him already, and think he shouldn't have gotten the job in the first place. His perceived arrogance, which is buttressed by the burner account posting, is producing this effect in that portion of the fan base.

Continuity wise - I'm looking at the front office and it appears Marc Eversley (VP Player Personnel) could be an interesting promotion.

- He worked under Collars for 7 years with the Raptors
- He then was with the Wizards for 3 years before coming here in '16.
- Charlotte asked permission to speak with him regarding their GM opening before Kupchak was hired.
- He pushed hard to draft Bolden apparently.
- He is their prime guy at all the pre-draft workouts
- Prior to the Raptors stint, he spent 10 years with Nike where he grew to be the company's liasion with NBA players. Perhaps a Lebron tie here?

yeah I would probably be ok with just promoting Eversley

the front office has presumably been working over their options for this incredibly complicated offseason for months. would be tough for someone else to come in fresh. Brett is our main salesman anyway

I think Detroit's position is still available

so his point almost still stands, as Detroit is barely a franchise

Curious - will you be convening your own search........ for a new avatar? Or at least enhance the collar (or set it afire)?

Could at least make Eversley interim. But maybe more if you don’t want to lose him
