Man if he is as slow as he appears to be putting this stuff together then he definitely needs to go. If he was on Reddit for 30 minutes he could have figured it out by now, so he must just be playing dumb. Also, why not just ask your wife?

Wife mea culpa statement will come today as tabledamus predicted and they will let her try to explain away the inconsistencies (credible or not)

That and he or she closing the accounts within 15 minutes a week and a half ago.

I know I’m only speaking for myself but I just can’t be as exultant as some that our franchise is going through this embarrassing moment nor can I wish career ruin and humiliation (not to mention possibly destroying a marriage) for someone whose greatest sin might have been telling his wife that Jahlil Okafor failed a physical. In retrospect he shouldn’t have done it but I don’t know anyone who hasn’t occasionally shared confidential information with a spouse.

I know there are those who are absolutely, unequivocally convinced BC knew about it all the time and has been lying, but no one here can be that sure. No matter how certain we are that we know the facts, we’re still guessing.

The investigation should proceed and a decision made once the facts are ascertained. And if we’re worried about the effect of this episode on our offseason which is coming so quickly, that’s exactly why no one should be particularly happy this is happening at all at this particular moment.

The Okafor stuff may be the diciest from a legal stand point but all the stuff about Embiid followed by potentially lying to Embiid earlier this week (a week after the Ringer contacted the team) is probably the most damaging in a practical sense.

I will say, the only thing we weren't openly speculating about here is the thing about a Fultz video, which may or may not exist. So the material wasn't that that "inside." It's more the trust issues as Mo alludes.

Anyway he sank himself with all the lying

The only thing that gives me a little pause is that his culpability really depends on that sole fact that the 3 other accounts going down at the same time upon inquiry from the Ringer. If that turns out to be wrong or really even imprecise, everything falls apart a bit.

I also don't know how they can be sure they found every account. Like maybe there's some Italian website she posts on with more dirt and she's saying racist shit or something. Once she's IDd as the leak I don't see how they can do anything but let him go.

You'd think that would be pretty hard for the Ringer to get wrong. Two accounts are Public, you contact Sixers, hours later the other accounts in addition to the ones you told him about are now private.

They said 15 minutes, HEF, which Chris Ryan reiterated on WIP yesterday.

Even better, whoever deals with the Ringer called Bryan, he called the wife, probably would take about 15 minutes if he immediately did it. Unless he somehow took the call on speaker phone in front of his wife and she said I need to go run over to my computer to do something completely unrelated.

I also can't believe the Sixers couldn't get something from Twitter if they play this as a fraud or identity theft type situation.

if BC talks to the media and says things like "nephew, delete this, lmao, fam" then you'll know if he's been on reddit

#Sixers’ boss Bryan Colangelo turns 53 today. This has to be one of the most uncomfortable birthdays anyone has ever experienced due to be investigated and possibly losing his job due to The Ringer report.

The problem is no one is really paid to edit him

Again, though, we don’t know for sure BC actually said bad things about Embiid and, if he didn’t he’s not lying. His wife seems to be (and this is an understatement) pretty strong-headed and opinionated. It’s not impossible she had formed and expressed her own views on Embiid.

FWIW I also don’t find it particularly unusual that BC seems to be reluctant to throw his wife under the bus publicly.

Again based on his own statements, we're supposed to believe that BC just figured this all out today.
