The SI article referenced the internal investigation and drew parallels to the Mavs internal investigation which involved a team of out of state lawyers. Gotta think if they go down that path, this is going to take weeks or months to resolve, not hours or days.

This is how it should go:

Person running investigation - Bryan, give us your electronics. If Bryan say No, he is fired. If he says Yes you have your IT group dig through and see what they can find. Someone should also contact Twitter to see what help they can provide.

While that is happening you have him make a list of everyone that could possibly know the information disclosed including Sixers staff and family members. You start having someone map a timeline of the tweets to match up with his whereabouts as well as anyone on the list, starting with the most likely people (His son and Dad).

I think that could be done in a 12 hour work day and at that point you would have enough information to know what you are dealing with. The lawyers are probably needed to deal with what to do when they find out it is him or if it is someone else.

They can't afford to have this linger for weeks. If it is him I would assume they would make a statement saying he is on leave until all details are flushed out, but hopefully if they can get enough on him he would agree to resign, but that may not happen.
