BC has basically said that in his statement. Going out in public accomplishes nothing for him unless there is also public proof he didn't do it

Yup. I believe the Ringer contacted BC himself, right? If it wasn't him, then he knew who it was because that person took them down shortly after. I imagine he contacted that person.
