The man is a warrior. He still bagged 24/22/46. Any fan with a sense of the game could see that Simmer was hurt all season. He never was the greatest skater but was definitely off of his usual speed and agility.

I hit that point in November. It was a painfully boring and awful product to watch. It was no longer must-see TV for me. Picked back up a bit during the nice stretch they had, but I can't imagine people are thrilled to watch Matt Read, Jori Lehtera, Andrew MacDonald, Brandon Manning, Dale Weise, and Val Filppula. And two middling goaltenders.


What competition have they had during January and March did past 20 years? Aside from the Iverson years flyers were steadily one of top two franchises in city.

They are lowly now. Poorly run operation imo.

Isaac: Ron Hextall says they’d like to bring Valtteri Filppula back. Other pending UFAs were told the plan is not to bring them back.

Lehtera has a year left on his contract, no?

I guess that means they don't plan on buying him out. If he doesn't get Matt Read'd (buried in Lehigh forever) then I can't even.

I'm eternally optimistic, but I can see why people are over this franchise.

Apparently I'm too dumb to have an opinion.

I also think G's comments are a little more benign. He's just saying that the team wants to perform to the level the fans expect and when they're doing bad and hear it from us they push even harder which could lead to sloppier play. It's a cop out, but Hextall's comments are 100x worse.

I mean obviously every team's leadership believes that, as they should, but saying it in the press is not going to do you any favors. Kapler needs to teach Hexy how to talk to fans bases.
