Hoo boy, that's a lot of drugs.

Even among Loaiza's BR comps he doesn't seem like the most likely narcotrafficker. I'd have guessed Brad Penny and even Lieber (modified truck a big red flag)

Similar Pitchers
Jason Marquis (956.3)
Charles Nagy (955.2)
Pedro Astacio (954.2)
Jon Garland (944.6)
Kevin Tapani (941.2)
Woody Williams (941.1)
Brad Penny (940.3)
Pat Hentgen (938.6)
Jaime Navarro (935.7)
Jon Lieber (935.1)

The Mets have had the Mets-iest of offseasons... adding Adrian Gonzalez, Todd Frazier, Jay Bruce, Jason Vargas, and Anthony Swarzak... waiting for non roster invites for Kevin McReynolds and Howard Johnson
Even if you get run over by a clown car and pissed on by a busload of school children, it's still your responsibility to interpret the meaning of the event and choose a response

MLB and the players' union came to an agreement on speed of game changes: NO pitch clock, shorter breaks between innings, only 6 mound visits without pitching change allowed per 9-inning game (then 1 visit for each extra inning)

the pitch clock eventually won't be much of an issue since all the players coming up are adhering to it on the minor league level; this is just an agreement for the old heads to start to adjust, I would assume.

Does the mound visit rule apply to catcher visits or just from the dugout?

If they want to get serious they’ll make it zero mound visits. Biggest waste of time in all of sports

6 per 9 inning game is ridiculously too many. Cut it to 2 per team.

Right you are (shortstops or other position players too):

A manager or coach trip to the mound to meet with the pitcher shall constitute a visit. A player leaving his position to confer with the pitcher, including a pitcher leaving the mound to confer with another player, shall also constitute a mound visit, regardless of where the visit occurs or the length of the visit.

How far is leaving your position? Is Chase taking 2 steps toward the mound and shouting something a visit?

Not MLB-related, but Mississippi State baseball coach Andy Cannizaro (who played with Trenton and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees in the mid-2000s) "resigned" this morning (was rumored as fired for cause last night). He apparently was banging a football recruiter that moved from MSU to Florida with Dan Mullen. Supposedly, he was texting the side chick during games and practices.

I've read quite a bit about the pace of play changes and what the reasons impacts are, and WRT the mound visit thing, it was more complicated than I initially thought.

The players feel that electronic sign stealing is a pretty huge problem. The Red Sox got caught doing it with an apple watch, but there are a lot of other ways to do it. Bullpen phone, watching video in the club house being 2 biggies. Mound visits between catcher/pitcher/IF allow teams to change signs more frequently if they think the other team is catching on or watching and relaying.

Probably just need to switch signs more often as a solution. Rather than waiting for them to catch on switch it up before that happens.

That’s the thing though, they switch signs multiple times per game and in some cases multiple time an inning, the mound conference is they know which set of signs they are using.

Don't think he's related to the late Chris.
