That’s the thing though, they switch signs multiple times per game and in some cases multiple time an inning, the mound conference is they know which set of signs they are using.

saw a short mccullers interview where he said this increases ten fold in the playoffs. he thought it was unwise to make changes based on the most important games of the season.

Sounds like MLBPA were against some of the other changes, so they decided to do what they could with this stuff. Pace of Play is a problem but don't know what you can do if the MLBPA doesn't agree.

Use technology and eliminate the need for signs. Every player and coach can wear ear pieces/microphones so they can talk amongst themselves without the other team knowing.

I've been on the earpiece bandwagon for years. If the NFL can do it without the Patriots hacking, MLB should be able to pull it off. Open mic for like 5-7 seconds once the batter steps in the box. Catcher/pitcher plus one person in dugout. Random monitoring to ensure it's only used for pitch calls. Still allow a couple mound visits for strategy discussion late in games.
