It's because they suck. Relatively speaking; pitching in the major leagues is an impossible job

And if you're the sort of person whose psyche is frail enough that pitching out the bullpen in service of your team "screws you up," you were likely never cut out for it anyway

Mathieson is a stud relief pitcher for the yomiuri giants.

and phillipe aumont has been struggling a bit after converting back to a starter for Ottawa in the can-am independent league.

J.C. Ramirez has somehow turned into a decent starter for the Angels this year

Morgan is still -- barely -- a major league pitcher. Had his head not been screwed up, maybe he could have been a #3-4 starter.

I went to one of Mathieson's batting practice starts against the Mets. It was terrible. The best part about the game was the insane Mets fan beside me making a hell of a grab on a foul ball.

I really thought he was going to be good just based on all of the raving reviews.

Morgan's downfall was a shredded shoulder, not anything the Phillies did. Great for him that he's still managed to make some major league appearances.

Thompson's problem is his slider has gone away, which is what made him a highly regarded prospect. They need to figure out if it's injury, arm angle, etc. to see if he can turn it around.

It seems that an inordinate amount of the games I attended were started by Scott Mathieson and Kyle Kendrick

Heard an interview with Matt Klentak where he played coy and certainly didn't deny interest in Stanton. Yelich, Ozuna... just wondering if we are saving our bullets for this kind of deal... some package with a couple of Franco, Hernandez, Galvis/Crawford, Quinn/Altherr/Williams/Cozens, Rupp, Joseph would likely interest Miami
