Almost trips over himself on game-ending catches just to mess with everyone.

Feels "unwanted" by teams that don't offer him 7-year, $126 million deals.

Oh, hell, Jayson now makes more than Chase! This could break things open.

I think I believe this now. I'm hearing enough snipes at Werth at this point to think there was something despicable about him. Namely from Barkann (who seems like the most agreeable guy in the world) and LA. Lotsa guys leave and are spoken fondly of. Not U.R.

I always thought LA and Werth got along well on their radio post game interviews

I don't know if I can agree that Barkann is an agreeable guy. He's completely unprofessional, and borderline childish with some of the potshots he takes at Andy Reid for example. Will never forget when he questioned Hamels for leaving the park for the birth of his son...

May be a nice guy but he lets his inner fan out on the air a little too much, who knows, maybe some of the snide remarks get back to the players/coaches.

If nothing more, he's really annoying.
Continued success, thanks for comin' on the show!

First off, that's pretty hilarious.

Secondly, it's amazing that even in making a hilarious point, CB still manages to say something incredibly stupid.

Werth credits Davey Lopes, “the best coach [he] ever had,” with teaching him the right way to play the game:

"Davey Lopes wasn't a hitting coach, but he is a baseball coach," Werth said. "He was really good [when it came to] my overall mentality toward the game and how to play the game. He was very instrumental and kind of molded me into the player I became [in Philadelphia]. Out of anybody, I would say Davey Lopes was probably the best coach I ever had. He is awesome."

And the Phillies let him walk. Lopes, that is.

THOSE FUCKING CHEAPOS! HOW DARE THEY NOT WRITE DAVEY A BLANK CHECK?

After walking off the field feeling nauseous knowing my wrist was broke and hearing Philly fans yelling, 'You deserve it' and 'That's what you get,' I am motivated to get back quickly and see to it personally those people never walk down Broad Street in celebration again
