Honest question: Don't you ever get tired of harping on the praise the Rays receive and the lack of respect the Phillies get? Doesn't it get old? Wouldn't it be better just to enjoy this?

Speaking of getting old...

Not a legitimate question? I really don't get it. This postseason has been an absolute blast. Why should we care what ESPN/the national media has to say about it? Does it really diminish the joy that you/me/we all should be feeling right now? How am I wrong here?

You're wrong in that there are what are known as different personalities. Quick tip for future reference: let people react / feel / respond / live how they will, you do the same, and spend less time wondering WHY more people aren't like you. Simple reason? Because A LOT of people think you suck, bro.

Douchenozzle, I'm extremely happy about the Phillies play, and I'm extremely happy that we're ahead 2-1. But that doesn't mean I can't be disgusted, as a sports fan, at the way the "mainstream media" portrays the biggest event in the sport. Its a disgrace, and its poor journalism.

I suggest you call it a night and brainstorm for your next "I'm a good guy, but I don't deserve all of this" rant. I can't wait.

Hey, I was genuinely curious. We obviously view life differently. No need to be calling people names. You guys may not like the way I look at things, but I don't call people names.

Watching the PC for the second time, Charlie misunderstands a question. the question was "does this world series make you question the value of the statistic 'hits with runner in scoring position'"?

he says "I've been in this game for 46 years, I HOPE I know it".

He thinks the guys is asking if he knows what it means. Makes you appreciate the lessons on properly framing a question that they teach in journalism school.

From the BP Game *1* Round Table:

Jay Jaffe (5:21:13 PM PT): Oh good, Taco Bell is here. If Tim McCarver condescends three times in one inning, everybody in America gets a free ticket to indigestion.

Who sang it? I missed it.

country star, taylor swift, who surprisingly is from wyomissing, PA

True story: Buddy of mine briefly dated her.

true story: her dad is my dad's stock broker. my parents have stayed at their house in not nashville but that other town that's right outside of nashville where all those country music people live.

she sang the anthem at the rphils a few years ago and we thought her whole country music career was a joke because her dad is loaded and maybe he just bought her a record deal. not so much, apparently. good for her. she sang the anthem the way it's supposed to be done. and it's awesome that she doesn't claim to be from nashville.

also, for more alvernia fun: my mom teaches there.
