captain bruisin?

precisely!!

just how crazy did garza come across if you were at the game?
on tv it was clear he's a s crazy as the day is long.

I was in right center and we had a few "Garza!" chants going on. The strutting around the mound after a k was really freaking annoying (especially after giving up back-to-back jacks.)
How'd the crowd translate on TV? I thought there was good stamina considering the wait and hour and such. There was but a handful of Rays fans that I saw and none in my section (102) as far as I know

yo, I was right above you - and my voice is hurting badly today. I went down with a couple of buddies who had tix and hung out in Benny the Bum's waiting out the delay. Then I decided to cruise the perimeter and find tix, got em (434, ninth row) for $150 and managed to sneak into my buddies' section (204, 7th row - some idiot and his girl got booted along with a bunch of others for arguing loudly and profanely) and got in on the fun. Keith Jones was right in front of us and I did my part with the GARZA chants (right up to the back-to-backs). I am still feeling the thrill, can't focus on the Igs.

damn, cause I damn near lost my voice. I was a firm believer that Garza could be rattled. Guess we were too far away. Did participate in the Eva chants too, so that's fun

Garza had plugs in his ears until the third or fourth inning, not sure the crowd was rattling him.

LOL that quote is seriously unreal. I mean, I know he has to convince himself that, but they were spotted two freaking runs.

I think those were spitwads, actually.

It's probably already been mentioned, but Tom Hallion ended up being the luckiest guy at CBP when Brunt scored this morning.

MGL: A battle between two very poor managers

I don’t know about you, but as a baseball analyst and a cerebral person in general, to a fault, I am having a hard time watching a postseason which more and more is being decided based on the poor decision-making of the managers than the talents of the players.

It might just be my perception, but the likely winner of the AL manager of the year, Joe Maddon, and the NL manager who will probably receive a few votes, Charlie Manuel, are just butchering the game, on an almost inning-by-inning basis.

Let’s forget about the games in the past. They have been aptly analyzed by the good folks here and on other web sites. I’ll focus only on last night’s game, Game 3 of the World Series. That will give me plenty of fodder.

Maddon said in his pregame conference today that he was joking around with fans about drinking Coors Light and was cool with that, but he wasn't OK with his grandchildren being pelted with mustard packets. ha

Just got home a little while ago from VA Beach. I watched the game last night at some hole in the wall bar in the empty beach town. It was very unusual to be somewhere since Friday and here no mention of the Phillies or World Series other than from the group I was with.

The few patrons in the bar seemed a little annoyed with the noise we were making during the game, but no worries, our waitress was totally cool with it, she was a Philadelphia transplant!

But I definitely would say to all the kids out there, 'Kids, it's a bad word. Don't say it. And I'm dead serious.' "
