For me a lot of it is age related. I bet Buddy was a slug when he was 18/19. Murray is not a finished product but his starting point is much higher than a lot of the other guys.

Yeah he's not perfect. Can really fill it up and handle the ball though.

More internet chatter of the Pelicans being the new hot spot for a Sixer's trade. Okafor / Brow would be a good pairing?

At 6 we could still likely get either Murray or Heild.

Also, looks very strongly that we will not keep both 24 & 26 and will try to package them to move up. Could a team like Chicago or Detroit be interested in a trade down to acquire more assets? Chicago at 14 may be too optimistic but Detroit at 18 could work. Depending on getting a top 5-6 pick (and ultimately who that is), we could also add a guy like Baldwin, Korkmaz or Luwawu.

I think 3-9 seems really fungible, so to me getting 6 is as fine as getting 3.

I disagree. Ingram is going to be a stud. That was the point of The Process. Get great players. It's not gonna happen but i would do that deal no question then take Dennis Smith next year.

Where are you seeing this? Linkage?

I would hope we could get more than just the 6 for Okafor, but at this point, I'd at least consider it? It would definitely be getting $.50 on the dollar. I said a few pages back that I would happily take Jrue back with that #6 pick for Okafor.

PG Jrue
SG Brown (#6)- nobody has any clue what's going to happen to starting at #3 tomorrow. A huge range of guys could make it back to 6- I am officially on the Jaylen Brown train!
SF Covington
PF Simmons
C Embiid/Noel

So much of this depends on BC's ability to make a good move. Trying to stay optimistic! Don't deal Noel, and try and drum up a market for Okafor where you can get a half decent return. Is that so much to ask for?

Any chance the Celtics pass on Dunn, the Wolves take Murray and Dunn gets to New Orleans?

if we trade Noel I can totally talk myself into being hyped for having Okafor as our first big man off the bench. You'd have to stagger minutes so he's not on too much with Dario but I could see him being a rich-man's Speezy.

big breakdown of Simmons, Chriss, Bender, Ellenson, Skal

really good Simmons stuff about how he may be best at PF, not PG. simply too quick for his size to 'waste' that

So having depth at PF and C is having zero leverage now?

yeah, people knowing that we probably have to trade one of them can't be good for leverage. some of the more prescient posters on BSG pointed this out months and months ago.

I think I could get to this place as well, but we would need to get a great package for Noel.

One apparently very available player that would be a pretty great fit with our current roster would be Gordon Hayward.

http://boston.cbslocal.com/2016/06/22/gordon-hayward-utah-jazz-boston-celtics-nba-draft/

Would you guys give up Okafor, #24, #26 and the '17 Lakers pick for Hayward & #12? I think I would:

PG Baldwin (#12)
SG Hayward
SF Covington
PF Simmons
C Embiid/Noel

That is pretty damn solid!

Yup, quite possible. Celts may take Bender. Chriss may be a top-5 pick. Dunn isn't universally loved--makes bad (boneheaded) plays, shot needs work.

I agree with your premise but not paying a significant premium for Ingram

FWIW, Woj said that Thibodeau is infatuated with Dunn on the last podcast.
