assuming (1) i know nothing about what any of these guys will do in the NBA and (2) Sam Hinkie does, I am basically deciding whatever happens is a good thing. with that in mind, what I hope is a thing that happens, purely for entertainment's sake:

1. Sixers stand pat at 3 and take Exum
2. Gordon falls to 7; Sixers trade MCW to Lakers to take him
3. Stauskas falls to 10 and Sixers take him there
4. Sixers trade for Boozer and the Bulls pick to jump one pick ahead of the Celtics; they take Saric
no offense but you are everything that's wrong with America

i have even higher hopes for him than i did for Nerlens last year

+1. More skilled than NN and I'd like to think he'd make NN more effective since he wouldn't have to play against guys 25 pounds heavier every game.

feel like you're blaming Saric here, but isn't he in a tough spot? a rebuilding team can draft him and then leave him over there regardless of his wishes so he has to take a good Euro deal now to protect his own financial interests, and that may require signing for two years

Agreed. He's playing the long game which will probably ultimately be better for him and whomever drafts him.

i'd rather have GRIII over Lavine I think

Also on Dinwiddie, M. Brown, Stokes bandwagons for 2nd round

Russ Smith could provide nightly positive and negative entertainment too on another scrub-filled team

It makes sense from a team standpoint (although I'd rather have a bunch of guys growing and improving together), but I always have a bad feeling about taking international players that are projected to go top 10. Nowitzki and Gasol are the exceptions......the rest never live up to their billing

Think this is my favorite non-wiggins scenario. Stauskus is awesome.

gotta feeling stauskas doesn't get to 10 boyos

what would people do if top 9 is Big 4, Vonleh, Gordon, Randle, Stauskas, McDermott?

i think you still might have to take saric there

Smart for sure. It'd be weird if we got Exum, didn't trade MCW, and then drafted Smart though.

The only scenario at 3/10 I might prefer over Embiid/Stauskas would be Embiid/McDermott. Might.

Defensively Noel 4 and Embiid 5 would be nasty. Offensively you can switch the 2 if Embiid can hit a nice jumper like Duncan it would really set up like the Spurs run with 2 bigs at times.
