Trade offer: Chicago's Gar Forman offers No. 16 and No. 19 to Philly for McDermott??

Really need it to be Thursday.

not sure i trade 10 for 16 and 19

The last thing we need in this draft is to move back and accumulate more picks. I'd actually really like McDermott if we had Exum and Vonleh (RIP MCW). Noel, Vonleh, McD, ???, Exum would be a pretty fun lineup next season.

He just took Saric with 16.

The Sixers and Cavs are playing chicken right now. I think the Cavs still want to draft Embiid. Tellem is trying to steer Orlando and Utah out of the picture, but Philly is the wild card because Hinkie doesn't care if Embiid plays this year. Philly is trying to convince Cleveland that if they trade down any further than 3, they aren't getting Embiid, because the Sixers will pick him. (Whether they actually will or not, I don't know.) So for Cleveland, it comes down to whether they're going to risk losing Embiid to add Derrick Favors and 23, or whether they take what Philly's offering and call it a day and just take Embiid at 3.

Unless the Sixers wanted Embiid all along.

If the Sixers wanted Embiid all along, I feel like the trade talks with Cleveland would have been pretty short prior to Embiid's injury, and according to pretty much every source out there, they were not.

If Saric is there at 16, I'd definitely contemplate it

I disagree. You can always use more picks. If the board doesn't break their way at 10, I'd definitely be in favor of them trading back and picking up Saric and another piece instead of just sitting at 10.

Got TJ at 19.

Dunno man if we could trade 10 for the primo Euro stash and TJ Warren, think I'm doing that and I love McBuckets.

If they trade MCW and get Vonleh after drafting Exum and the board doesn't break their way, I'd rather see them trade 10 for a pick to use on Saric and an unprotected (or not heavily protected) pick next year.

I'd also rather see them try to use some of those seconds to make something happen either in the 20's or move up or around with our other picks (10+47 for Saric and an unprotected 2015 first?). There's no way in hell we're drafting five guys in the second. It's going to be weird as hell if the first round passes and we haven't moved any of them.

warren had a hell of a season. but breaking down how he scored w DX, he can't shoot threes and he has little handle, and basically relied on awesome (unsustainable?) shooting on difficult little floaters and mid range shots, often with shorter defenders. also scored a ton on O boards, which i doubt will translate to NBA. deserving ACC POY but i think i'd steer clear unless he falls to 2d (which he wont)

this is the blurb with the puter numbers btw

North Carolina State's T.J. Warren ranks as the highest usage player in this draft class averaging 23.5 possessions per-game. Ranking 2nd shooting 51.8% from the field but only scoring a slightly above average 1.02 points per possession, Warren is one of the most unique players in this class. He leads this group seeing 2.9 possessions per-game on cuts and 2.5 possessions per-game on put backs, but ranks below average in spot up and post up usage.

As much as Warren's proclivity towards catch and finish opportunities around the rim makes him unique, his shot distribution is what really stands out on paper. The talented forward made a below average 32.2% of his jump shots, but finished at a group-leading 70% clip around the rim, despite lacking elite athleticism.

Warren's finishing ability is the byproduct of his truly outstanding instincts and touch on short range shots. Those two things are also reflected in his knack for scoring with his floater. Scoring more points than any player in the country on runners shooting an impressive 49%, Warren makes up for his lack of jump shooting ability by making short range shots at an elite-level. Warren will be one of the truly interesting cases to keep track of in this class, as it's been some times since we've seen a small forward with his unique offensive skill set.

@chadfordinsider: .@ESPNInsider I think I caused a Twitter riot in Philly with the MCW trade. Trust me Sixers fans. Trust me. #NBAFrontOffice

This is from earlier in the mock draft. Everybody has been whispering about it but Ford is damn near certain it's happening

Anybody that uses the twitter should remind Chad that we have five seconds to work with. See if he pulls trades to get us the last five first round picks too.

TJ does nothing exceptional but does everything well. He made a quantum leap from his freshman year to his sophomore year. I would agree that the amount of "How the fuck did he make that" shots were high. He also put up that great shooting percentage clip with no NBA talent around him and a mediocre coach in a good conference. I love him and I hope he becomes a Sixers

I'm expecting the teams that we'd be trading with to be ones that will likely be in the playoffs next year anyway. So if someone decides to trade us a lotto or top ten protected first, that's pretty much the same thing.
