They are too frightened to talk to the good players, it goes back to when the star point guard stole Hinkie's girlfriend in high school. On that day he swore to never watch a basketball game again.
Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

-- badly need a center, but no @#(*@(#* way should they re-sign Bynum. They aren't a contender anyway, he won't generate any interest in this team, and you're gonna give $24M to a guy with "two flat tires"?!
-- likes Zeller a lot (Mikey Miss says Zeller is too soft)
-- not a fan of Olynyk.....doesn't know if he's a PF or a C, and at times he plays like a SF

That's the point. What he forgets is that they didn't pay Harden, they traded assets to acquire and then pay Harden. Analytics in basketball isn't like baseball where you're trying to win on the cheap. It's about collecting assets on the cheap to then acquire a star. Like the Rockets did with Gasol before the league fucked up the CP3 trade, and then did again acquiring Harden.

I know it's not a necessity, but I still think it would be nice and send a good message to free agents or potential draft picks and the rrest of the league if you had a coach selected before the draft.

It isn't happening by Thursday, I know, but for them to say they may not even have a coach until AFTER the Summer League, is just rediculous in my opinion.

Will we have a coach or a mascot first? That is the real question.

Maybe we can have a mascot/coach. I'd like to see a moose draw up a last possession play.

I'm going to Radio Shack to buy one of those headsets like the broadcasters use. It seems as soon as you put them on, you get 100 times smarter.

It doesn't matter that they haven't hired a coach, but it looks odd... And while BSG may not give a shit, the people they are selling tickets to care about it. So it should be explained or addressed...

Definitely see a few thousand season tickets sold once they hire Melvin Hunt.

They should hire that really good looking forward from the 2001 Sixers. I had a crush on him.

I really think they are punting on this year. If people get turned off by that so be it. People aren't gonna come when the team is mediocre or bad, and they'll start coming again if it gets good, just like the Phillies. As long as ownership is ok with taking that short term hit, I don't see the problem. This team has few tradeable assets, limited cap room, and owes several future picks if they make the playoffs. The best way to get the team good again is through high draft picks.

yeah, I'm on board. hopefully use their cap space for more picks. supposedly Marion's money gets you the Dallas 13 and he won't come play and improve your record

I'd like to punt on this year but why not try to get Brad Stevens, he gets a year under his belt in the NBA, we suck anyway for at least a year, get a top 5 talent. Profit.

Seems lazy to just hire Michael Curry or some guy that isn't a top coaching prospect. I get that they're punting, I want them to punt, but the owners are filthy rich, at least make an effort to create some sort of buzz.

Whatever, I hope they got rid of Adam Aron as superfan/owner, that worked out terribly.
