just reread all 84 pages. here's some mtnotes although some might be repeats or wrong takes or whatnot

-they shut down alshon pretty good in half 2 but everyone else stepped up. doug > bill

-speaking of alshon, i thought the play that resulted in interception he only had one arm to grab the ball because his other one was being held

-speaking of pi - felt like there were a handful of no calls probably both ways but def on the pats not called. the one failed two point conversion comes to mind

i wasnt following my block pool too closely but the guy i split the 100 dollar block with told me the missed xp cost us a split 1250 - 625 each

im surprised we got both of the td replays upheld. although everyone's descriptions here helped me with the bs that collinsworthleess was spewing

along those lines, a few penalties were called or not called with no replays. i see others have mentioned this in the thread along with some more possible calls or non calls that you guys are picking up on in rewatching the game. you can't tell me the patriots didn't hold once the whole game?

im not blaming refs though - im glad we also got the benefit of the doubt of no call on the cooks hit. yes he was a runner but still concerned we coulda got screwed with the highlight and replay and focus on this kind of thing.

only had a few questionable thoughts - obviously 20/20 hindsight but the two-point conversions after being so successful all season were painful.

also didn't care for the 3rd and 3 behind the LOS to agholar with no blocking in front and they had to settle for the fg. ah well.

speaking of kickers - huge for jake to hit that fg, breaking his own record for longest fg by a rookie in the super bowl. but the missed stuff and they mentioned about possible slipperyness on the field. noticed a few defenders fall down too and offensive players as well. wonder about that.

corey ****ing clement - looking forward to seeing him as a big piece going forward. i dont want to talk too much about the future and rather relish in what we have now. that long play with that stiff-arm was blount-esque and i thought maybe if he had cut more to the other sideline if he could have taken it to the house. the defender had the angle but looks like he had a blocker catching up with him. that's the play of the game in a lot other games. in this one it's like 4th maybe?

When Brady got the ball back with 2 minutes I remember thinking that the Eagles usually win games in this situation. If it was a Chip or Andy team I would've had a lot less faith. But they were really good at closing out games this year. I think they said somewhere they never gave up points in the last 2 minutes of games this year or something like that.

Those two point conversions got a lot harder considering the refs didn’t throw PI flags yesterday (and I had read leading up to the game that refs usually don’t throw a lot of PI flags in the Super Bowl). It makes the QB performances even more impressive when you realize the DBs were allowed to do whatever they wanted.

lunchtime at work i turned on espn. they were talking about malcom butler and then if the eagles should trade foles and what would they get then they were ready to move on to college basketball.

btw, they were saying butler was a day late getting to minnesota he said it was cuz he was in the hospital. i dont know anything about him but we should sign him to **** with the pats.
