Don't know if it was talked about elsewhere but Simmons pointed out that Belichick screwed up by not calling a timeout at the end of the first half. The Eagles got it inside the 10 with 1:30 left and they ran it down to :45. The Patriots could've gotten it back with a lot more time on the clock. I love how Patriots fans are being really critical about Belichick over this game.

could you imagine the riots if they did?

apparently he doesn't understand that it was well before the ball was thrown and it would have been illegal contact if anything and not pass interference

I think it’s because it’s the first time they got straight up beat in the Super Bowl. The Giants beat them, but it’s easier to write off a loss when there were some super lucky plays that broke against them (not to take anything away from the Giants).

Doug outcoached BB. Foles led a long drive on the Pats D that devoured the clock and put us in front. Brady had a chance to drive for the win and our defense came up big to stop him and force a turnover. We were in control for the vast majority of the game.

Pats fans could call the Giants losses flukes (even though it happened to them twice) and think their team was still better. There’s no way you could watch last night’s game and come away thinking the better team lost (unless you’re Collinsworth).
