Merrill describes NOTHING going on. If you're listening to the game in the car you literally have no fucking clue what's going on. He has a unique voice and that's about it. The hail mary call last night was a good damn abomination. He wasn't even excited as the ball hit the ground!

Compare that with Franzkes call from 2008 and you just angry that the eagles aren't going to have this iconic call to listen back on

Yes, are we not allowed to harp on this today? Should it be brought up 5 months from now? "You know, 5 months ago, I thought Merrill's calls weren't that great, let's discuss!" Was just curious to see what people thought about them.

Anyway back to the game...

I said this on Twitter, but I was an emotional wreck for that entire Super Bowl last night because I believed they could win it. It was a long time ago, but I was way more even keel for Super Bowl XXXIX because I think, deep down, I wouldn't let myself get excited because that team still had a hint of the Andy stink on it... they hadn't been challenged all year in 2004 until the Super Bowl and they got punched in the mouth, it was reminiscent of the Bucs/Panthers games, though more competitive.

Meanwhile, Pederson's Eagles have literally had just about zero let-downs. They've had games when they haven't played well, but they always, always bounce back, and typically in game. The vibe with Pederson's teams is way different than the Andy teams. The Andy teams felt like they had a bit of unearned swagger to them, the Doug teams have a ton of swagger but it's way more workmanlike.

I just like when Quick says the FOOTBALL GAME

Fans of other teams saying how bad the celebration was are just so stupid. This literally happens everywhere. I especially like the lines that say it when their own fan base did it.

Reese never describes what's going on. Hes not good. He just has a good voice and has been here a long time.

Mills had a good game with the exception of those plays you mentioned. Darby was pretty bad almost all game though.

Why they had Darby on Gronk I don't know but I guess they thought limiting White with Jenkins glued to him made the most sense.

Darby is good overall. Much of the secondary had a bad game. He'll be fine for us next year when we defend our Super Bowl Championship!!! (can't believe I'm typing that!)

The day after the Super Bowl one of the things I most look forward to is reading reviews of the ads and halftime show.

This year, I don't remember any of the ads or halftime show. Amazing game. I was laser focused.
