Wow, the ratings are in and Arnold Schwarzenegger got "swamped" (or destroyed) by comparison to the ratings machine, DJT. So much for....Donald J. TrumpVerified account
@realDonaldTrump
being a movie star-and that was season 1 compared to season 14. Now compare him to my season 1. But who cares, he supported Kasich & Hillary
He's still a executive producer on the show, yet he is trashing the ratings.

Correct, the people who were appointed, and work at the pleasure of the President, but I am sure that some type of formal change over is not only customary, but important. I think a lot of postings, especially places that are not terribly glamorous, are staffed out by experts. That is an educated guess rooted in logic. For example, London is an easy post and a reward where as places like Afghanistan (currently a careerist, not an appointee) are people there to get things done in the local environment.

Still its dumb, and you know it's dumb, and most Republican leaders know its dumb but most will either support this, even if only by simply remaining silent.

It's not dumb. Obama's domestic political appointees are all out as of Jan 20, so should his foreign appointees. The complaints seem to almost entirely focus on ambassadors with school age children having their school years interrupted. Trump should extend the term of Obama political appointees so they don't have to find a house to rent in their countries so their kids can finish the school year? GTFO

Yet I am sure that you are perfectly fine with our First Mail Order Lady and little prince staying in the NYC WH so that he can finish up the school year in his ultra exclusive prep school. To the winner goes the spoils right?

I would rather they moved to save the money, but the situations aren't the same.
These are political appointees. Their jobs end when Obama's term ends unless the next administration wants to keep them on. I don't really think Trump should feel the need to keep Obama bundlers on in ambassadorial roles because they have kids in school in those countries. Rent a house for the remainder of the school year if staying in country that important to you.
President-elect Donald J. Trump said in an interview [with the New York Times] Friday morning that the storm surrounding Russian hacking during the presidential campaign is a political witch hunt being carried out by his adversaries, who he said were embarrassed by their loss to him in the election last year.
Mr. Trump spoke to The New York Times by telephone three hours before he was set to be briefed by the nation’s top intelligence and law enforcement officials about Russian hacking of American political institutions. In the conversation, he repeatedly criticized the intense focus on the alleged cyber intrusions by Russia.

Oh yes, a bigly scandal is coming that will make Watergate pale in comparison. The Blob has Nixonian levels of paranoia and only a small fraction of Dick's intelligence.
This is all going to end very badly for The Blob and the GOP.

Pejoratives aside, I generally agree. He's going to alienate high profile GOPers on the Hill, particularly in the Senate, due to his thin skin and reflexive, insult-driven responses to such "feuds." McConnell and Ryan will have their work cut out for them, and they won't be able to stop investigations once Trump has alienated enough legislators.
