Lindsey Graham and Dick Durbin are working on a bill called BRIDGE that would have Congress basically allow DACA to continue. Good luck getting that by the House, though.

Just the start.

And the producer thing isn't a big deal now, maybe, but it could be warped into something much worse. And that's where we're going here.

The end modern slavery initiative act was attached to the NDAA and the NDAA passed yesterday. Two year of being a small part of lobbying for that bill. Feels good man. Seriously makes me want to cry a bit.

I have a question for the conservatives (there may be 3-4 here)

Keynesian vs Supply Side economics
so I suppose you can favor either one of these policies very adamantly. Personally, in my gut I feel Keynesian economics feels right. Put the money in the hands of the people - which will drive demand and "force" businesses to hire additional workers to meet that demand. Now after Pudzer is in place the supply side people are in control and I get what they are saying - make business profitable, which will lead to growth which will "force" businesses to hire additional labor at an increasing cost as the labor pool is reduced. The only problem with this theory is that we have been trying it for 30 years and it has only resulted in the rich getting richer - because if you make businesses profitable they will still avoid hiring additional labor at all costs.

Government Regulation
Just curious what kind of regulations conservatives find unnecessary? The ones that protect workers? The ones that protect the environment? Are there others I don't know about that are just plain stupid?

Global Warming
Like 99% of scientists agree that global warming is caused by human made activity. I can't believe that conservatives are willing to turn the planet into Venus for financial gain right? So they must believe that global warming is a hoax after all. Or maybe they think some new technology will be able to fix the problem. I can't believe that republicans are willing to punt the planet because they distrust developing economies so much. And if the global community cant agree totally then isn't this a referendum on the human race - are we doomed?

Wall St.
2008 really scared me - I would rather not have my 401k disappear again before I retire. Capitalism is a naturally a boom-bust system but oversight helps even out both highs and lows. Do republicans not care about the severe busts because the rich always make out in the end? And the booms are so awesome! If true this doesn't sound like a populist/Trump view .

Anyway - I identify as a liberal on social issues (mainly libertarian in this respect). Now that I have to deal with Trump and his crew for 4 years I'm trying to convince myself that republicans aren't evil.....I have top believe that they care about the country and don't want it ruined, right?
I would rather see you lose than win myself

It's interesting to see 'leftists' I know and on twitter siding with Trump and bashing the CIA...a CIA that is different than the one in 2001-04.

KAC told Chuck Todd today that basically Trump won't be influenced by banks and appoting people to roles in his cabinet connected to banks does not mean they will impact policy. He laughed at her.
