Perfectly normal, perfectly healthy.

he's still going to be listed as an executive producer on Celebrity Apprentice. The President is going to have a weekly network tv show.

Maybe he'll use the show to find his SoS.

Chris Christie's best next move:

* Confess to Bridgegate. Name names. All kinds of names. Any names. About anything.

* Spend 24-30 months at a cushy minimum-security place like Danbury. Maybe get into an exercise program, write a book.

* Come out on the other side as some kind of Sanders-grade 'indefinable' political renegade, ready to tear the impending administration, which by then should be in full collapse mode, an unmendable new asshole.

I mean, what the hell does he have to lose?

The unacceptable 'blind trust' arrangements he's putting together to the side, this seems more like Trump collecting royalties per pre arranged agreements from his role in creating the show and not really anything worth being upset about.

Yes, let's normalize this behavior. Nothing to see here.

This is the same crap the GOP has been doing for decades. It's ok if we do this one little thing. No, the answer has to be a resounding no for all this stuff. He has to be fought across the board. There are WAY too many ways to twist this sort of thing into something VERY VERY VERY bad. You know this, too. Stop whittling away at our democracy, please.

Sure, 'executive producer' is a fluid thing in Hollywood-land; however, he doesn't even want to do the smallest, easiest thing such as dropping this title and not accepting money for it. it's another sign that some real shit is happening/about to happen.

It's not even a significant amount of money to him. I think i read it's like a low five figure fee per episode. He's just a turbo cunt

i guess we'll have to get used to variety and the Hollywood Reporter getting scoops about politics. The Hollywood Reporter notes that Mark Burnett is discussing the inauguration with Donald. Maybe it'll have a Survivor tie-in!

On Nov. 15, Trump unveiled his Presidential Inaugural Committee leadership appointments, which include Colony Capital CEO Thomas Barrack as chairman along with Laurie Perlmutter, wife of Marvel chairman Ike Perlmutter, and casino mogul Steve Wynn as a vice chairman.

"The inauguration is going to be huge," Omarosa Manigault, a confidant of Trump and a member of the transition team, told The Hollywood Reporter at the Women in Entertainment breakfast on Wednesday. "Of course, Mr. Trump wants it blinged out and fabulous and glamorous."

Reps for Burnett and the president-elect did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding the producer's official or unofficial involvement in the ceremony.

anyone that's not into comics should know that Ike Perlmutter is an amazing asshole and a petty, vindictive hack. I'm surprised he hasn't been nominated for something.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Abortions would be banned after 20 weeks under a bill Republican lawmakers passed Thursday, adding to legislation already on its way to Republican Gov. John Kasich that would prohibit abortions once a fetal heartbeat is detected.

The House voted 64-29 to pass the bill already approved by the Senate.
During early debate the House rejected a Democratic proposal to add rape and incest to exceptions in the bill.

Rep. Greta Johnson, an Akron Democrat, asked the House to add the amendment, saying it would honor women who show the courage to go on after sexual assaults. Rep. Ron Hood, a Republican from Ashville, opposed the amendment, saying children conceived in assaults shouldn't be punished.

they want you to carry your rapist's baby to term because they don't like punishment

Rep Marsha Blackburn... lol... she was fighting the CNN host about global warming. His take: Overwhelming basic science points to human influence in climate change. Marsha Blackburn: Hahahaha, it is complete up for debate (never answering the question when asked directly 4 or 5 time).

She did wander around saying things like we need to find ways to gain efficiences and productivity, like our power grid. I guess that would make her Pro-Pollution.

H-2B, the 'fun job' visa, also know as the path to cheap employees. This is the program that flipped summer jobs at the beach and pool, etc., into the land of foreign exchange workers. I know the recent beach experiences would have benefited from knowing a Slavic language.

remember he was fake upset about the black teenage unemployment rate? could've hired 64 local youth instead.

this visa and the J-1 program is what they use at Hershey Park and their plants and got dinged for charging kids them rent and all sorts of other things, basically creating modern indentured servitude. oh wait, they used staffing companies to deny liability.

I'm pretty sure there have been articles about this "secret" group already (mainly in lawyer blogs and such), and I'm too lazy to PM my frustrations to Richmond directly, so I'm going to vent here.

Shortly after the election, a group was created called "Lawyers of the Left" to gather like minded attorneys and law students to organize and protect civil liberties and interests in the Trump era. While noble in beginning, the group has been quite frustrating. I understand that the group is still in its infancy and the organization of actual action is still in process, but I am close to just leaving the group. 9 out of 10 updates I see in my news feed from the group is bullshit articles that are unrelated to our mission and just bitch about Trump, or posts from supposed lawyers/law-students that show an understanding of the law of a high schooler. I understand that not every attorney is the smartest person, or an expert in every facet of the law, but the lack of researching even the most basic thing is frustrating.
