Social media is a destructive force in society. I don't think Zuckerberg meant it to be this way, but here we are. Maybe a thing we could do is delete our social media accounts.

I know way back during the Arab Spring, people were talking about the liberating potential of social media. It just hasn't worked out that way. It's too easily co opted.

This video going around that defends the electoral college is such a piece of shit. Sure, tyranny of the majority is bad. So is tyranny of the minority. The key bad thing is the tyranny part.

And remember, the main reason for the EC was to protect slave states. Without the electoral college and the 3/5s compromise, the slave states would have much less influence in Presidential elections.
