that was after getting in one line only to find out that once i got to the front that there were two locations in the same building. of course my polling place was the other location. so i had to go wait in that line. about 30 people from my initial line followed over a few minutes later. pretty chaotic. not the best at all.
I was a bit confused about this too but not for the machine itself. Because as pac said it seems very secure. However the lady was so old and was signing people in like 5 at a time it seemed and the line I thought got out of order so I have no idea if my vote was attributed to me or someone else. Oh well.
votes and voters are not linked at any time.
This is correct.

This was poorly worded. What I should have said was I'm not entirely sure who seemed to be running things because it seemed like I could have easily gone in and voted again. There was no organization provided by any of the poll workers.

didn't you sign a little book? if you signed the book it'd be hard to vote again

i was thinking it'd be pretty easy to just walk up and into a machine and keep voting. The lady was just like "you signed? alright, this one is empty!"

That's more what I was saying. Our table had 2 ladies working M-Z and 1 old lady doing A-L and I signed the A-L book, got into the line, the booth appeared to be open but there was no poll worker to be found and she had run off somewhere else for 60 seconds then came back. She told me to go in and she had re-set it but she disappeared again after doing the re-set for me so I'm not sure what would have stopped me from just slipping back in and saying "woops don't think I went in yet". Nobody would have seen it except for the guy standing near me.
Guess I just miss the old Chester County days of getting the manila folder/Scantron style sheet and feeding it through the machine.

9:20 a.m.: The scene at one North Philadelphia polling place: A big crowd and, briefly, Trump supporters.
"It's the first time I saw a line of people voting at 7 a.m. for any election," said David Scott, 52, a local committee man at Richard R. Wright School at 28th and Dauphin Streets, the polling place for the 2nd, 3rd, and 6th divisions of the 28th Ward. Some time after 7 a.m., he said, a carload of men wearing white hats with "Trump" emblazoned on them stopped at the school.
"It was five or six guys who got out and looked at who was voting," Scott said. "There was no conversation, no confrontation. They just looked, then left."
