It is so nice that the shackles have been taken off me and I can now fight for America the way I want to.

This pisses me off. Maybe she was planning to roll it out during the debate but couldn't find a good question for it, but given the amount of non-sequiturs that get crammed into a debate that's a poor excuse. Hell, her opportunity to respond to Trump's answer on the "name one tax provision you'd repeal" question would've been a great place for it. Make the announcement and have the campaign website do a simultaneous rollout.
Am I crazy for thinking that maybe a national television audience is a better place to roll out a major tax policy initiative instead of waiting an extra 36 hours and making a generic campaign announcement?

slugsrbad wrote:Yea, that was my initial reaction too, especially because it's relatively easy to explain in soundbite form. Has the word poverty even been mentioned in either debate? I feel like it must have been, but I cannot recall. With the timing of the announcement I would guess that it was going to be brought up in the debate, but couldn't find a great spot to squeeze it in. Waiting until the 3rd debate would have been too long, IMO.
