Grabbing POLITICS by the sissy

Trump's play right now kind of makes sense to me. Just antagonize the shit out of the republicans and then you can blame both them and the "rigged" system when you get grabbed by the pussy (which is inevitable no matter what you do at this point) on Election Day.

So should we be worried about the health of the two party system? Multiple legitimate parties in other countries has not been terrible productive for the most part when collation rule is a must. Diversity of leadership is important too, and the down ballot mess/blow back could create other chaos. What can I say, I'm a Libra (baby).

Even Breitbart is going there and saying it was intentional troll:

I don't like how casually the term pussy-bow is being thrown around.

Good lord, this was an iPhone tweet, so it came from his staff. (Although I should've immediately recognized that due to the bigger words and lack of unnecessary adjectives.)

Let me repeat: This is a tweet from a (alleged) professional campaigner.

Does anyone think there's even a chance that we break 50% on the turnout rate for this election? I wonder if we're going to see a historic low for white voter turnout. That number is ridiculously low but far from unprecedented in recent times. Clinton/Dole in 1996 was 49.08%, Bush/Dukakis in 1988 was 50.15%, and Bush/Gore in 2000 was 51.3%. If anything, 04-12 turnout rates might be the aberration due to unique circumstances created by the Iraq War and a historic candidate in Obama.

Actual policy!

This pisses me off. Maybe she was planning to roll it out during the debate but couldn't find a good question for it, but given the amount of non-sequiturs that get crammed into a debate that's a poor excuse. Hell, her opportunity to respond to Trump's answer on the "name one tax provision you'd repeal" question would've been a great place for it. Make the announcement and have the campaign website do a simultaneous rollout.

Am I crazy for thinking that maybe a national television audience is a better place to roll out a major tax policy initiative instead of waiting an extra 36 hours and making a generic campaign announcement?

lots of people would be helped by this, but I'd like to see more of a change to seeing tax returns doled out the next year on a more monthly basis. i think that'd help people far more than the current system by increasing their monthly spending/living income and hopefully preventing the need to use the tax return as a once a year 'pay off the bills' lump sum. who knows, i'm sure there have been studies done on this?

EITC and CTC seem to have become a fairly non-partisan thing, but i do think there are better ways to go about it. I guess this is the system as it currently stands and we seek to tweak.

Yea, that was my initial reaction too, especially because it's relatively easy to explain in soundbite form. Has the word poverty even been mentioned in either debate? I feel like it must have been, but I cannot recall. With the timing of the announcement I would guess that it was going to be brought up in the debate, but couldn't find a great spot to squeeze it in. Waiting until the 3rd debate would have been too long, IMO.

Trump may be derailing Rubio from keeping his seat and giving it to not-very-good Patrick Murphy.

I'd much rather be fighting with fellow Demorats than immovable objects.

I don't recall ever hearing the word "poverty" mentioned or even anything similar. And we know climate change hasn't been discussed.

No big deal. Just two of the biggest issues facing our world today.
