the bar is set so incredibly high for her it seems. whereas, trump's bar is do not physically attack the other person on stage.

It would be hilariously sad if the one fact check Holt makes isn't even true.

She can't win, because Trump is allowed to say whatever the fuck he wants and she'll be nitpicked over everything. The double standard is so gross and transparent.

guys its gonna be ok.

1. despite varying debate expectations (trump must stand still for 90 minutes and hillary must say the gettysburg address while juggling chainsaws), remember this is the first time we have ever see these candidates together. the stark difference between the two of them will be abundantly clear.
2. i am convinced undecideds are asymmetric. this group isn't 50/50 hillary/trump. there is probably a strong neverhillary contingent who is trump/johnson/home but probably a stronger nevertrump one that is hillary/johnson/home and trump's abhorent nature will push them to the logical choice
3. the electoral map and underlying demographics still skew democratic
4. public polling is...not that good

Getting the latino voting rate up to the levels of everyone else would basically cure what ails ya. There is a massive effort to GOTV that is specifically targeting Latinos in PA, for example. I would assume this is going on in Colorado, Florida, etc.

She should start the debate with a handshake and then hold up her hand to compare hand size. Trump might hit her.

they should have the podiums hooked up to a contraption like Tommy Lee has for his drums so height isn't an issue

I think panicking is probably the correct course of action if it makes you do something. If it's just gonna keep you up at night, go read Plouffe, who at this point is poised to have a Rove 2012 moment denying Trump has won on Election Night. I mean, she *is* still likely to win, and public polling *is* terrible, but the idea of her losing is certainly a lot more real than it was a few weeks ago. I don't think it's helpful from the perspective of making sure Hillary wins to keep telling people she's got it in the bag.

There is a sense of "this couldn't possibly happen because he's so awful" and it encourages complacency. You look at the head to head and 4-way ballots, and especially among younger voters she's dropping off significantly. I think a lot of us live and exist in social circles where we know very few people who are actively supporting Trump, so it makes the idea of him winning seem ludicrous and the appeal of voting 3rd party or not voting stronger. During the primary, the donor class and the candidates all spun their wheels fighting battles that were ultimately meaningless because everyone assumed "this couldn't possibly happen because he's so awful" until it was too late to stop. There are 6 weeks. Most of you live in one of the 2-3 most important swing states in the country. Talk to friends/family/coworkers whom you think are persuadable. Don't be a condescending dick about it. Most people only get snippets of news, and if they're a soft Trump supporter, it might not have anything to do with them wanting to fillet Mexicans and Muslims. There's a lot more fluidity in the electorate than usual this year given the unpopularity of both major party candidates. Encourage GOP leaning types to think about why the Bushes and Mitt Romney don't trust Trump in the White House. Ask your 21 year old pothead cousin who is voting Johnson because they're all the same, man, who of the people who actually have a chance at winning is more likely to reclassify or decriminalize pot. Suggest people look at fact checks on issues they care about to see how Trump has been all over the goddamn place on everything.

I'm hoping that he uses the Skittles/refugees analogy and talks about them being "colored."

Is there such a thing as a soft Trump supporter? I sure haven't met one.

Clinton, could change mind 7%
Trump, mind made up 35%

"It is believed that the larger one was built at Clinton’s request to make her appear taller than she is."

"It is believed," huh? It's also believed by a lot of stupid people that Obama wasn't born in the U.S.

Wanna talk about media bias? Isn't it just as possible that Trump requested a different one to accommodate his height? Or that it's standard practice to adjust lecterns to account for the height of the candidates? If Hillary were physically disabled and in a wheelchair would they criticize her for needing a modified lectern?
