Botswana is not known for being accepting of LGBT people, but Baptist minister Steven Anderson proved to be too much for the African nation. Yesterday, the government arrested and deported the hatemonger for saying LGBT people should be killed.

The twisted preacher has previously been banned by South Africa and the United Kingdom for his hate speech against LGBT people.

Anderson hit the national news following the mass shooting at an Orlando gay nightclub when he praised the shooter for killing gay men.

“The good news is that there’s 50 less pedophiles in this world, because, you know, these homosexuals are a bunch of disgusting perverts and pedophiles,” Anderson said at the time.

During a radio interview on Tuesday, he continued his hate-filled “ministry,” telling listeners the club was full of “disgusting homosexuals who the Bible says were worthy of death.” He also called for adulterers and pedophiles to be put to death and said women shouldn’t be allowed to preach in churches.

“He was picked up at the radio station. I said they should pick him up and show him out of the country,” Botswana’s President, Ian Khama, said yesterday. “We don’t want hate speech in this country. Let him do it in his own country.”

NPR recently closed their comments section because they discovered that 90% of the posts are made by a small group of people doing it repeatedly

this is comforting. it's obviously messed up that it's a practice, but it's comforting to know there are less horribly stupid people than I thought.

Trump is human waste. He is the worst of America stuffed into a nacho cheese casing, and he is emblematic of the kind of arrogant, flag-waving, trashy, racist moron that the rest of us have to DRAG kicking and screaming into the 21st century: Cliven Bundy, Sean Hannity, Kim Davis, and on and on and on. Trump voters are the people who have spent the past decade or so voting insipid obstructionists into office, sending death threats to anyone who even mentions the idea of gun control, demanding 100% tax cuts on millions of dollars they can only daydream about making, and getting suckered in by any Oil Party candidate waving a NO GAYS flag. Fuck them. These are needy hillbilly loons who are just as starved for attention as Trump himself. And voting for Trump is their way of emulating him, of saying FUCK YOU to everyone else as a mission statement, with no regard for the fallout.
