Hope you are all doing well. Smitty can confirm I'm alive on Saturdee.

It apparently did help a lot that I did have no prior driving violations in my life. They did mention that my two underages that I had at 17 and 19 were still on my record and I could have requested to have had them expunged when I turned 21.
But basically the cop laid out $300 dollar fine, 6 months probation and a general impairment violation vs Highest level DUI, no loss of license to my lawyer and I just accepted. I think that was more than generous probably. Glad it's getting over and done with.
a friend of mine got a DUI at half that (still bad!) and did the standard ARD, lost his license for 6 months etc and his lawyer still cost like 2 grand.

Just now saw this. He actually wasn't outrageous even for just a local guy. The big game guys were just idiotic numbers(good for them though). I wasn't even able to get ARD because of the extreme level of the BAC but I told my lawyer I'd have preferred this option either way since I won't losing my licence and the fines are much less. The lawyer will end up himself costing costing between 1000-1500 but closer to 1000 since the big stuff is mostly out of the way already. The tradeoff is that this stays on my record much longer than if I'd have went through ARD but this charge looks better than highest level .BAC DUI and not nearly as ugly overall being general impairment. If I'd fuck up again the numbers on this one would pop back up though(which won't happen).
Think it definitely helped that he already had a good relationship with the officer that charged me and that I didn't go nuts or anything during the whole thing. My two underages are still on my record though which he said they noticed and they said I should have requested them removed when I turned 21. Didn't even ever think to do it.

The third roommate (Guistinna) apparently responded: "We appreciate that you are letting us know your preferences. GIIRRRL, WE HAVEN'T EVEN MET YET ... I'm not here to fight with you...but I am not going to allow anyone to talk to me or Winnie like that."
The reply was great: "You throwing it right back along with other snarky, unnecessary comments is just fighting fire with fire. I'm also really chill too. But as you can see from my previous email, I am like a ticking time bomb that sets off when certain things happen to me."
Winnie and Guistinna moved into their dorm room yesterday and told ABC News their third, unidentified roommate has yet to arrive. The girls did not disclose which bunks they took.
UCLA officials told ABC News they have been in contact with all interested parties and hope for an amicable solution.
