won't it help Trump? If mormons don't want Trump, seems like they might skip Clinton and go with this guy instead, basically splitting clinton's vote.

Let's say Utah is 65% is republican and 35% is democrat

Let's pretend Evan manages to sway half the republican vote

Hrc 35%
Evan 32.5
trump 32.5

Now obviously Johnson and Stein get some too but Johnsonlargely draws from republicans and Stein nips a small part of dems so let's call that a wash

If anything unless Evan can draw the majority of republican in the state it opens up a win for HRC if he draws an amount that is large but not too large

I was thinking he might draw more from Hillary. She's doing better than normal there, so I assume there must be a pretty big anti-Trump vote in the state (I doubt there's much of a pro-Hillary vote). If the new guy becomes the Anti-Trump vote target, then Hillary will take the hit. It will be interesting to see how the numbers move.
