Who is LePage endorsing? David Duke?

I'd better back off or endure musket fire. ;)

Putting aside the "credit" piece of this #$!&@, his case literally was "what the hell do you have to lose?". Strong.

Ummmm what black community did he go in to?

Jackson, Mississippi.

Where he talked to white people.

Maybe someone in the Trump campaign stumbled on the old Johnny & June song.

trouble in the revolution's ranks:
Less than a week before its official launch on Wednesday, Bernie Sanders’ new political group is working its way through an internal war that led to the departure of digital director Kenneth Pennington and at least four others from a team of 15, and the return of presidential campaign manager Jeff Weaver as the group’s new president.

"Those of us who resigned left because we felt the organization couldn't make good on Bernie's promise to keep the political revolution going under Jeff's leadership. As a campaign manager, Jeff was a total disaster who failed Bernie's supporters with his mismanagement," said former organizing director Claire Sandberg. "We're organizers who believed in Bernie's call for a political revolution, so we weren't interested in working for an organization that's going to raise money from billionaires to spend it all on TV."

The group's entire organizing team quit, as did much of its digital team -- the group's two pillars -- including longtime Sanders digital director Kenneth Pennington, who sparred often with Weaver on the campaign.

Several of the staffers who resigned had received personal promises from Sanders that Weaver would not be involved, and he later called several to try to get them to stay, unsuccessfully, according to multiple sources.

Weaver's elevation to manager was announced last Monday on a conference call led by Bernie and Jane Sanders, who chaired the group's board.

Weaver had already been advising Our Revolution, but Jane Sanders wanted the former lawyer to run the group after legal questions surfaced about whether its activities for candidates were pushing the boundaries of its tax status.

The group is organized as an entity known as a 501(c)4, which severely limits its involvement in elections and how much money Sanders can solicit for it, as noted in an ABC News story published later.

basically, they wanted to make sure they followed the law so they got an adult in the room (Weaver) and people got upset because they don't like him. It's hard out there for a purist when Bernie and Jane's handpicked people aren't good enough for you.

Yep, I actually deleted a paragraph where I went on about how I didn't like how he ran the campaign. Still, he's a guy sanders like and he's a guy that knows the ropes and could be Sanders' eyes and ears on the project without having Sanders get too close and risk breaking the law. It's a smart move, long-term.

If you worry that Weaver will do wrong, stay and try to prevent that.

I don't get this. There's at least one picture of every Senator for the past century with Byrd.

Is it a funny picture? Yup. But the logic that it somehow proves she's racist is bad, even by Breitbart standards.

Barack Obama wrote about how Byrd showed him how the Senate works. Over the course of his lifetime he changed to the point that he was getting 100% ratings from the NAACP. It's a bit different than Strom Thurmond, for example. He was the last senator from the South/Appalachia that didn't change his D to an R and then he actually went and modernized a bit. He was formerly a bad person but saw the error of his ways and reformed a lot if you read what others who knew him wrote about him.

it's just a silly thing to try to equate with what The Donald is actually saying currently in 2016 and the people that are actually currently backing him in 2016.

car bomb in south-east Turkey killed 11 policeman and injured 78. PKK claimed responsibility.

Cizre has often been under curfew since last July when a two-year ceasefire with the PKK collapsed, heralding a return to deadly violence.
The UN and human rights organisations have demanded an investigation into allegations that more than 100 people were burned to death while sheltering in basements in Cizre during one of those curfews.

Not great, bob.

I may be wrong but isn't Byrd the Senator who was wheeled into the Senate a few years ago to cast his final vote while getting a standing ovation from all the other Senators?

i listen and read both liberal and conservative news... Aka propaganda. I like to hear both sides of the story and not be some lemming. As far as the presidential election, I have to quote one of my favorite authors of all time, dr. Seuss "terrible, awful" and that goes equally for both candidates, worst in election history.
