re: mainstream GOP
Party leaders being too cowardly to give quotes that might make life (more) difficult for their party's nominee =/= embracing white supremacy.
Look, you can continue down this road all you want, but if you honestly believe that white supremacy (as opposed to intentional or unintentional bigotry, which is a very different animal) is a core tenet of the mainstream of approximately 40-45% of the country, then we're fucked for this election and probably for a long time. Luckily, I don't believe that.
And I can't believe I'm defending the GOP on anything.

Putting aside the "credit" piece of this #$!&@, his case literally was "what the hell do you have to lose?". Strong.

Sources tell NBC's @KellyO that the Trump campaign has brought on board Republican operative Bill Stepien as a National Field Director.

Jackson, Mississippi
JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Donald Trump's presidential campaign has not yet turned in paperwork for the Republican nominee to be listed on the Mississippi ballot this November.
The secretary of state's office tells The Vicksburg Post there's a Sept. 9 deadline to submit forms.
Paperwork must be filed "by 5 p.m. not less than 60 days previous to the day of the election," according to Mississippi law on presidential candidate qualifications. Secretary Delbert Hosemann's spokeswoman, Anna Moak, says once received the 2016 candidate qualifying list on the secretary of state's website will be updated. The state Election Commission will meet in September to set the ballot.
State Republican leaders did not immediately respond to questions Thursday.
Hillary Clinton's campaign has filed its paperwork for the Democratic presidential nominee to be on Mississippi's ballot.

How did Paul LePage get into office? a third party candidate entered the race in 2010 (and again in 2014) and split enough of the vote away from the Democratic challenger. in 2010 he carried 38% of the vote and was elected. in 2014 he carried 48% of the vote. The independent in the race received 8%. Had he not been in the race, lePage likely would've lost.
Third parties. VOTE YOUR CONSCIENCE! What's the worst that could happen?

you're so disingenuous
the 2010 results were:
LePage (R) 37.6%
Cutler (I) 35.9%
Mitchell (D) 18.8%
Moody (I) 5%
it was the Independent candidate who probably would have won if not for the Democrat

Recent interview with him he said he doesn't hold back information for political timing. Shocking that he's a liar
