Kinda got a theory right now that this is the absolute worst result* for the party (in 2016). If it gets worse, it's because he's done something else awful and people unendorse and our downballot people can run their own damn races and win while he loses by 15%. If it gets a bit better I think we probably hold the Senate or just lose it 50-50 with Toomey and Ayotte unable to hold on. If it is actually close think not only do they both hold on but we pick up NV and maybe even hold Wisconsin so it's a wash just losing IL. But if it stays like this lose IL, WI, prob PA and NH, very maybe likely OH, FL, MO, NC, and then who knows what else gets competitive (IA? AZ?). Continue to think the worst case scenario for the party is him actually winning and nothing can move me off that, but I do think I want him to stop #$!&@ up so some good people get re-elected. Either that or totally implode so some good people can disavow (in Trump parlance) without blowback.
That might be dumb cause ticket splitting is hardwork and whatnot, and him imploding might actually be worse. I dunno.
*other than him winning
