Would obviously prefer not to see that, but Murphy is still in a competitive primary.

And Murphy is well liked by the donor class. That is going to be the most expensivene senate race in the country IMO.

What will be interesting is if Dems take the Senate and Trump somehow pulls it out. There is no way Dems approve a Scalia replacement without input on the candidate. R's have effectively erased prior SC nomination precedent.

This is legitimately not possible.

Yes it is. It is very literally possible.

Jill Stein could be our next president.

I don't think so. I'd bet if Nate Silver modeled how many times Trump reached 270 and the Dems took the Senate anyway it would quite easily be statistically significant.

Literally, sure. I could see maybe Kirk/Coats/Rubio dropping but then you need two of Ayotte, Portman, Toomey, Johnson (WI) to get to 51. And Trump would likely have to win OH and PA. Someone get me one of those probability chart things.

I'd bet anyone $100 that Trump won't win PA while McGinty also wins PA

The chance that Rubio loses while Trump wins nationally is a number very close to zero.

Kirk
Johnson
IN-Open
Ayotte
Toomey
Portman

Dems would need 5 of those 6, with Trump carrying Indiana, Ohio, and probably Pennsylvania. You could sell me on the first four with Trump losing IL and WI and NH (plus strong Dems in each), then Bayh running ahead of Clinton. I don't really see how it shakes out the Dems get either of the bottom two though, and if Trump wins Dems need to pick up 5 seats.

Toomey has low favorability, if you get a 1 point race between Clinton v Trump (which it probably is in Trump's best case) and bleed off to the 3rd parties that is how McGinty pulls it out as Trump state.

I feel like McCain is the most likely active politician to go on a shooting rampage.

I read on Twitter that since he announced that he's running, foot traffic to Trump properties and hotels is down, and way down with women. I don't blame them. After this run, there's no way I'm staying at a hotel with his name on it.
