you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

She appears to really exist - judging by co-authoring books with Trump. I'm assuming she had 0 social media presence so these Twitter and Facebook accounts are from trolls/people trying to take advantage of the scandal.

Is it so hard to believe that the interns for Dems are much more diverse than those for Republicans?

Not at all.. I don't see a huge deal. Romney got 6% of the black vote and 27% of the hispanic vote in 2016.. it's not a diverse base.

If we're going to do that can we just pick Tim Kaine instead?

On the one hand, there's a zero percent chance of this happening.

On the other, if you bet on "the thing likeliest to piss me off" happening throughout this election cycle you'd be rich right now.

The Dem photo is "true" but was staged yesterday in response to the Ryan photo. So I'm sure a diverse crowd was encouraged, though I'm also sure it was a bit easier to round up than those from the Republican ranks.

you know what they tell writers, smitty - "write about what you know"

but I have to say that while frivolous, as others have pointed out, these stories are about stuff that many more people will understand than, say, clarifying for people that drumpf is not actually a business success and has no genuine plans, whether or not potentially successful, for doing anything to fortify the US economy. Too many simply don't have any conception of what a plan actually looks like or why having one might matter.

It goes beyond that. This is what people care about. That's how the media works in a capitalist society. A story is newsworthy if people click on the story. It's amazing how many people complain about "the media" as if 99% of journos aren't limited to writing dumb shit for clicks because if they don't they'll be replaced by someone who does.

Tl;dr: blame our dumb capitalist society for our shitty media.

A New York Times reporter just said on MSNBC that lobbyists are salivating at the possibility of a Trump presidency because they believe he won't care and will give them everything they want. In fact, there's already been a lot of lobbying done in private at the RNC.

This is something a lot of those who support him don't realize. Trump will sell out the American people big time.

I wonder what would be happening if elected Republicans were more like Flake or Kasich and didn't go along with this circus. I mean, Rubio had school yard insults hurled at him on national TV and Cruz had his father accused of conspiring to assassinate a president, yet they are speaking tonight. Have some principles and self respect. Stand for something.

This.

The Republican party would be better off. The problem is the aspirations of guys like Rubio, Christie, and Cruz outweigh the good of the party. They will kiss the ass of anyone who can help them get where they want to go.
